- it lasted 2 mins for me as soon as it could not handle multiple music directories ☹️
- After using Tambourine for a few days, I found it to be a solid basic music player for someone who keeps their music in a single directory. Personally, it’s not the right fit for me, since I store all my music on a media server on my NAS. That said, I can easily see its appeal for users who keep everything in their home “Music” folder. One small downside I noticed is that because the app has no internet access, all the album art for my ripped albums showed up as blank white squares after moving them to the NAS. It was a bit annoying but not a dealbreaker. Overall, I think Tambourine does a good job filling its intended niche: it’s simple, lightweight, and fast.
