This Linux Saloon was a great talk about Ubuntu’s 26.04 LTS release. The representation of flavors wasn’t as expansive as I had hoped but the main-line proper GNOME version, KDE Plasma, and Xubuntu all had thorough use by the panelists.

Not tried it yet! Still rocking 24.04 on everything 🙂
Has anyone had much luck installing Ubuntu 26.04 on an NVidia device? My experience has been awful and installation took hours. Several attempts at swapping USB drives, testing the ISO in a VM, and having to disconnect my monitor and connect it to my on board graphics was not the best installation ever. I believe it has something to do with X11 being removed, maybe. However, this release to me is the worst yet. Maybe I’ll try Xubuntu or Kubuntu instead for a better experience!
