– I add fonts though it is mostly the noto fonts, google and Microsoft fonts for compatability with thejr documents

– I said no, but that is only 99% true.  Almost 20 years ago I added the GTA San Andreas font, something like PRICEDOW.TTF.  If I can find it, I might add it again.

– I said yes in the poll, and I do add them every now and then, but it’s for a specific purpose: if I’m using Gimp to put text on an image, I need to install the font for that text. 99% of the time the fonts I have already are close enough or good enough, but every now and then I will use a new open source font specifically because it’s a good fit for the graphic I’m designing. I actually really LOVE fonts and the only reason I don’t play around more with trying out different fonts on my system, is simply time. I know that if I start heading down that rabbit hole I will wind up spending hours on it and I have so many other things to do.  And also if too many fonts on the system then it gets really annoying to scroll down the whole list to pick the font in whatever application you’re using

– I always add the Microsoft True Type font set to my Linux setup as many web site use them as a primary font. And of course I have added various fonts that I use for development work and or any minor graphics work I may do.
