Fedora is a community-driven Linux distribution sponsored by Red Hat. It is known for being one of the most cutting-edge major distributions while maintaining excellent stability.
Fedora’s mission is to serve as a platform for innovation, it ships the latest stable software, promotes open source technologies, and acts as an upstream for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). It follows the “First” philosophy: first to ship new kernel versions, new desktop environments, and new technologies.
Fedora releases every 6 months and provides strong community support for about 13 months per release.
